Dayton's News Source - TOP STORIES

It all began just after 5pm when Dayton police were called about a shooting at 2722 North Main street, but inside the house they didn't find a victim, instead police discovered 20 to 30 pounds of marijuana, some heroin, a stack of money, an assault rifle, a hand gun and a pit bull.
Neighbors we spoke with were visibly shocked to learn what was in the house, and with so many children living close by they say they're relieved police put an end to whatever was going on.
The 19-year old who answered the door was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, possession of drugs and possessing weapons while on disability.
Dayton police believe the man who lives in that house may have been planning to sell the drugs he had, but residents say they're glad he didn't get the chance.
