The Durig's - grim faced - were arraigned by video Tuesday in Miami County Municipal Court. The couple is charged with child endangering, after their 8 month-old son Caleb was found dead Monday afternoon.
Dayton's News Source got a copy of the 911 call today.
DISPATCH: Hello
CALLER: Yes I need help in Troy, my son's not breathing he's eight months old.
DISPATCH: What's the address?
CALLER: It's 1251 Hilltop Circle, apartment two.
The woman on the phone identified herself as Tara Durig. She claims she had put her son down for a nap and when she returned he was not responding.
DISPATCH: How long has he been like this?
CALLER: I don't know
DISPATCH: Okay, hang on I'm going to help you, okay.
CALLER: Okay.
The frantic caller tells the Dispatcher her husband Jason is doing CPR on their son but it is not working.
DISPATCH: An ambulance has been dispatched out there, can you tell me has he been sick or what was he doing.
CALLER: Right now it looks like his nose has gotten clogged with blood... we don't know what happened, we know he got a scab in his nose.
DISPATCH: Is your husband still doing CPR?
CALLER: Yes, but he's not waking up, just hurry.
DISPATCH: They're on their way.
Troy Police say they don't know how long Caleb was dead before they arrived. Autopsy reports show he died from multiple blunt force trauma. Investigators say they are currently looking for evidence to determine more about how that happened.
